How it all started

The dream of White Buffalo Thriftery started in Katie's mind long ago. The idea was to create a space filled with specifically curated items which reflected her own style and flare. It was game on when Katie and Jose met in December 2021. With his business knowledge, creativity, and drive, Jose caught onto the vision immediately and started the ball rolling. In March 2022 White Buffalo Thriftery opened its doors, and has since become a beloved eclectic addition to downtown La Crosse, WI.

Oink! Hi, my name is Bella!
I have been a part of the White Buffalo story ever since I can remember. When I was a baby, mom would bring me to the store. I would snort and sniff around the store and pick out my favorite thrifty finds. That's why there is a "Bella's Pick" collection! I have the best taste. No really, I like to taste everything.
My favorite memories of being at the store is all the TREATS that people brought me!
Since my first birthday, I have grown a smidge bigger, and I don't make it to the store very much anymore. I'm too busy napping and snacking and living the best piggy life at home.
Mom still makes me pose for pictures and videos, so even if you don't see me in the store, you can still see me on Oink-stagram!

Here at White Buffalo Thriftery We love to thrift too. Katie loves the thrill of the hunt when it comes to fun decor and vintage finds. How does she not keep it all for herself? Well, part of that thrill is getting to see someone else appreciate an item as much as she did when she found it.
"It's like saying goodbye to a friend. I feel good about the time we had, but it's okay to let it go to a new home".

We have had the privilege to occupy a few beautiful spaces, but as of December 2023 we have settled in our forever home at 500 Main St. La Crosse, WI. On the corner of 5th and Main!
